New Battle of the Books lists!
3rd-5th grade Battle of the Books lists are now available. The new William Allen White nominated are on all 3 lists, and each has an additional 10-11 books. Check out the icons on our online catalog, Alexandria Researcher!

National Library Week activities April 12-16
Dress-up Days
Monday- We like to read about sports- wear clothes supporting your favorite team
Tuesday- Diary of a Wimpy Kid- dress like a character from Diary of a Wimpy Kid OR dress like your favorite character from a different book
Wednesday- We love to read- wear clothes with words
Thursday- Hats off to reading! Wear a hat
Friday- curl up with a good book- pajamas
Students may also bring a pillow or stuffed animal for the read-in at teacher discretionFriday afternoon- read-in in classrooms, time to be determined by classroom teachers
Friday 2:45 Read Across America/Library Week pep rally
Each class or grade will share something with us- short skits, cheers, dances, etc. promoting the library and/or reading
Coming soon: pics of the classroom doors for the door decorating contest. Congratulations to Mrs. Kilgore's class for their winning entry! The creativity displayed was amazing. Way to promote the library and reading!!!!
